SSG Insight Global Walkathon

Did you know there are 9,313 miles between our Wakefield, Poland, and Perth offices?

At SSG Insight, connectivity is one of our core values, and we have recently been thinking of new ways to bring our global teams together through fundraising efforts. As there are 9,313 miles between our offices, we have challenged ourselves to collectively walk this throughout the month of August. We have selected two charities to fundraise for; the first is Wakefield Hospice, a purpose-built specialist palliative care unit that provides ward areas, a day therapy unit, bereavement support and education. We’ve also selected Batley Sporting Foundation, sponsors of Project Glow, providers of wellbeing activities, monthly socials and activities for adults and young people with learning disabilities, and sessions for parents, carers and family to improve wellbeing.

We will be providing weekly updates on our progress, along with photos of our views along the way! Any donations, no matter how big or small, will make an impact to both of these charities, and on behalf of the whole organisation, we’d like to thank you in advance for any contributions. Week 1 (1^st-4^th August):

Although week 1 was a short week, our teams managed to complete 363.18 miles, leaving 8949.82 miles to go. We’ve had lots of photos from our global teams, from our team in Poland hiking the mountains near our offices in Jelenia Góra (spot the sunny photo!), to various walks around the UK.

We look forward to completing this challenge and making a positive impact to both the Wakefield Hospice and Batley Sporting Foundation. Charities local to our global offices and teams will be selected for future fundraising efforts.
