Every care has been taken in the compilation and publication of the information displayed on this website. However, SSG Insight Ltd. will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused because of any inaccuracy or error within these pages.

SSG Insight is not responsible for the content or availability of any external sites to which it may include links.

SSG Insight retains full and complete title to any content on this site, including images, documents, downloadable documents and software. You must not copy, modify, reproduce, upload, transmit, distribute, reverse-engineer, disassemble or otherwise convert any part of this site into another form.

Security Information

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. These measures include secure servers, encrypted passwords, and other security measures to guarantee the privacy of our members. We do not store credit card information on any SSG Insight servers.

SSG Insight endeavours to protect its customer data and personal data from data breaches, hacking software and instances where any persons previously employed by SSG Insight may have the opportunity to keep personal information about customers on their personal devices.

Use of personal information

Where we store personal information

When you provide us with your personal details on our contact forms, during a phone conversation, or through any of SSG Insight applications, we collect and store this data in a secure, GDPR-compliant CRM database.

What personal information we hold

We store and use data such as name, job role, and business email address. We use this data to aid our sales processes and to complete contracts. We also use this to market our products and services (see How we use email addresses).

Data including age, gender, or details of a sensitive nature are not stored or used in any way by SSG Insight, including for marketing purposes. SSG Insight does also not collect or store any personal data from anyone under the age of 16.

How long we hold data for

SSG Insight stores data throughout your time as a customer of our products and services, plus up to the time we view your data as not suitable to process for legitimate purposes (see Legitimate Interests). We will also cease to store and process your data if you ask us to do so using the various methods laid out at the end of this Privacy Notice.

Sharing of data

SSG Insight does not sell any data to:

  • Third Parties
  • Partnering companies or resellers of our products and services
  • Ex-employees, ex-shareholders, or any other persons who are or have been directly involved with SSG Insight
  • Other areas of the business inside or outside of our Headquarters.

We also do not share personal information freely with any of the above entities unless it is necessary under contractual or legal obligations. SSG Insight employees, shareholders, and directors are under contractual obligations to not take any data we hold in our data systems with them upon leaving employment with us.

Customer data using hosted systems (Agility)

Customer data and that which resides on our hosted systems may be transferred between the Company and its properties to complete or continue aspects relating to our customer service. We use an external hosting company to host our customer information in Agility. This does not allow them to use the information they hold in any way.

SSG Insight only shares personal data with other offices and partners of the company residing in ‘adequate’ countries as laid out by the ICO. This includes, but is not limited to, Canada, EU countries, and the 3 EEA countries (Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway). The purpose of sharing this data is only to complete contractual obligations between ourselves, our partners, and our customers, and occasional marketing messages.

Information may be shared with partners who provide co-branded services, however, this information is limited to only carry out such services (such as a contract).

Use of Cookies

If you accept Cookies on our site, the data stored is done so to enhance your experience of the site and to aid us in fixing errors with our site. You can change your Cookie settings at any time. Data obtained from Cookies is not stored on any server or database used by SSG Insight.

We do not use Cookies to store personal data or market our products and services.

How we use email addresses

SSG Insight uses email addresses to check against our records stored in our database and to send marketing communications to your business email address in accordance with the advice set out in the GDPR.

You can opt out of receiving these communications by emailing outout@ssginsight.com or by unsubscribing through links in any email communications we send you. SSG Insight does not use telemarketing or similar services to market via SMS or telephone services. We also never use personal non-work data (i.e. @gmail.com) to market our products and services, unless you have previously used this type of email address to sign up to receive our newsletters. You can also update your preferences using our preference centre to control what type of content we send you.

Use of IP addresses

SSG Insight does not store or record individual IP addresses in any database or on any server. We use an IP tracking company, Lead Forensics, which collects IP addresses pertaining to companies listed from various official company information websites. This software does not track personal information. SSG Insight does not store these IP addresses but will use publicly-available information to follow up a visit to our website which may include sending email communications to a central address (e.g. info@, admin@) or a telephone call to the business.

We do not collect or store IP addresses gathered from surveys we may send out to our customer base.

Reasons we use data (our Legal Bases)

SSG Insight uses data for three main purposes:

  • To complete or continue a contract (not including renewal communications)
  • Because you have given your explicit consent for us to contact you
  • For reasonable, legitimate interests which do not override on infringe upon your rights as an individual

We are also obliged to store or share personal information for legal purposes, however, we do not store information if we are not under obligation to do so.

Communication for contractual purposes

From time to time it is necessary for SSG Insight and its employees to communicate with you in order to complete a contract, to update you on vital changes to your current contract, or for any other purposes which may contribute to inaccurate or unlawful processes within your contract that may cause financial or other distress to you or the company you work for. This does not affect your right to withdraw consent from communication for marketing purposes.

Communication where explicit consent is confirmed

If you sign up to receive emails from us we first send you a confirmation email to ensure you want to start receiving this type of communication from us.

The email address we use to distribute marketing communications is news@email-ssginsight.com. You may also receive email campaigns from individual employees from SSG Insight using the email domain @ssginsight.com. If you believe you have received an email in error or you receive an email promoting SSG Insight’s content from a suspicious email address contact us on the details provided on this site.

You have the right to withdraw consent, and you can opt-out of all communications using unsubscribe links in email communications we send you, or by emailing optout@ssginsight.com. If you are a current customer, this does not exclude you from receiving emails to fulfil a contract or provide you with vital updates which may affect your use of any of our products or services.

Legitimate Interests 

SSG Insight has the right to collect and store information given freely to its employees for the purposes of Legitimate Interests.

Our legitimate interests are to offer SSG Insight products and services to businesses. This includes Agility™ products, training, and other related services. We will never sell or attempt to sell you products or services that are not owned or developed by SSG Insight.

We sell our products and services to business with the potential or need to manage and maintain their assets, equipment, people, resources, and/or other business processes. Businesses we market to include, but not limited to, manufacturing, facilities, distribution, warehousing, and not-for-profits such as schools, hospitals, and governmental organisations.

The people we market our products and services to include, but are not, limited to, senior decision makers, operational roles, engineers, business managers, facilities managers. We may make initial telephone contact with people outside of these roles to establish the correct person to make a sale with. We do not knowingly collect, store, or process this information.

This means if you cease to remain a customer, we may still store your data for a period of time if we believe product or service offerings may be of benefit to you in the future. This does not affect your right to withdraw consent from marketing communications.

Third-Party Software/Service Providers

We use UXCam. This service may record: Screens visited, Interaction patterns (such as screen actions, gestures: taps, scrolls) and Device details (Type, Version, Model, Operating System). We are using the information collected by UXCam to improve our applications. These services do not collect personally identifiable information and do not track your browsing habits across apps or websites.

Request for Information

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you in our systems. Initial requests will be provided at no cost; subsequent requests, or those which seem unreasonable, will come at a small fee set at the discretion of the Company.

You also have the right to update your information by contacting us, or by doing so in our preference centre.

If you feel your data is being misused in any way by SSG Insight or its employees, contact us using the details provided on this website. Alternatively, you can make a formal complaint to the ICO through their website. SSG Insight is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer at this time.
