College chooses Agility to manage their facility for the next generation

When Sacred Heart College were looking for a forward-thinking facilities and maintenance solution for their 7-hectare site, Agility provided a clear way forward.

Background: Sacred Heart College

Sacred Heart College is a purpose-built coeducational facility which currently caters for around 1400 students. Based in Sorrento, Perth, in Western Australia, the site opened in 1967 and has undergone extensive building and rebuilding programs since then. Today, the site covers over seven hectares.

The business need

The facilities of the college needed to be managed and maintained. Reactive and planned work needed to be scheduled and coordinated around the complex timetable and the movements of students and staff.

The solution

In 2014, Agility was selected from a shortlist of CAFM systems. This was implemented to manage the facilities and maintenance requirements across the whole site and 31 individual college departments. The entire site, which includes 160 rooms of varying sizes, capacities, and uses, is managed by Kim Street and the Maintenance & Grounds team. A register of over 650 assets has been created in Agility to allow them to easily identify and locate assets across the college site.

Agility’s helpdesk feature now quickly and accurately records around 110 reactive work requests each month. Using Agility on iPad devices, the facilities and maintenance team handles these alongside the planned maintenance requirements.
